Attendance
Request for Leave of Absence
Regular school attendance is important for your child's academic, well being and wider development. Good attendance supports learning, improves social skills and helps build friendships and positive outcomes in adult life.
Parents are legally responsible to for ensuring their children of compulsory school age ( 5 to 16 years old) get a suitable, full time education. This means your child attends every day.
Holiday Leave Requests
The Department of Education allows a Headteacher the discretion to consider authorising a leave of absence in term time only in exceptional circumstances. If the holiday is not considered an exceptional circumstance it will not be agreed. If you then take your child out of school the leave of absence will be recorded at unauthorised.
If you need to request a leave of absence for your child please complete the form or at the school office.
All requests should be submitted at least 2 weeks before the leave is being taken.
