Inclusion Resources

Ofsted says...

"Leaders ensure that pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have access to the same curriculum as other pupils. Teachers adapt the curriculum and ensure that pupils are given the right support. Teachers quickly spot when pupils need additional help. Leaders check pupils’ needs and make sure the right support is put in place.

Leaders prioritise pupils’ mental and physical well-being. Pupils learn the importance of respecting difference, including different beliefs and lifestyles. They experience varied opportunities to build their understanding of being responsible citizens. For example, they fundraise for local and national charities."

Ms Laura Newby is our Inclusion Leader. If you have any queries about our SEND provision please contact Ms Newby on inclusion@dovelands.leicester.sch.uk

The Graduated Approach to meeting SEND

SEND Pathway at Dovelands

Leicester City Local Offer

The Leicester City Local Offer is here to help you understand what services are available for your child and to help you find the right service for you.

How can the Local Offer help you?

It can help you find services for children and young people with SEND up to the age of 25. You can start finding services by searching its website.

In addition to helping you find services, the Local Offer:
• Helps you understand what schools and service providers are required to do for SEND children and young people
• Helps the parents and carers of young people with SEND find support for themselves
• Clarifies who is responsible for services for SEND children and young people
• Gives you the information you need to ensure your SEND child can thrive

Parent Pathway - Graduated Approach
